Overview

Total Solutions, Inc. (TSI) is recruiting for an Information Technology Coordinator to provide project
coordination and information management support for the Office of the Executive Secretariat, at NASA
Headquarters in Washington, DC. This is a hybrid position, onsite 3 days per week. Duties include,
but are not limited, the following areas and activities.

 

  • Maintain OES databases used to store and retrieve authoritative office documents, including
    maintenance of content, access control / distribution lists, and metadata.
  • Implement and administer OES websites, databases and document collections. Implementation may
    include layout, setup, access control, validation and checkout. Support OES Agency Governance
    council executives with configuration of SharePoint web pages used for specific Council topics.
  • Recommend and create new approaches for automation or redesign of office processes or define
    requirements and collaborate with OCIO to implement new approaches.
  • Document policies and instructions for database maintenance and ensure appropriate quality
    control of updated data.
  • Conduct periodic (at least quarterly) validation of access control lists with authoritative
    access permissions database, consistency of application of database standards and assignment of
    metadata by users.
  • Serve as the focal point for all issues relating to logistics in implementation of Council or
    other OES- managed formal meetings, in coordination with management and other OES staff.
  • Capture, analyze and report on problem areas and help resolve issues; conduct a monthly
    Operations Review to review, decide and socialize changes.
  • Participate in Council meetings as a Meeting Facilitator responsible for display of charts and
    resolution of real-time AV/IT issues. Provide backup support to OES in executing Council meeting
    logistics.
  • Maintain proper security of all controlled information. Responsible for availability,
    reliability and integrity of business data stored in production repositories. Communicate regularly
    with management and sytem owners to ensure the security and confidentiality of data.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Journeyman level of experience with Office 365 enterprise applications, especially SharePoint,
    to include familiarity with design, configuration, and regular usage.
  • Expert experience working with other Microsoft Office Suite programs (Teams, Word, Excel,
    PowerPoint).
  • Agility in learning current NASA information tools such as HATS and use of Tableau for automated
    reporting. Creativity in identifying opportunities for automation within or across application
    suites.
  • Ability to define requirements and work in a team environment both with OES staff and supporting
    Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) staff to implement new projects.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English, Literature, Computer Science, Information
    Systems,Engineering, Business, or other related field. Seven (7) years’ experience with ability to maintain
    a high degree of accuracy and precision is essential. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Hours:

 

  • This position is exempt, 40 hours per week, exclusive of federal holidays, Saturday and Sunday.
  • This is a hybrid position, onsite 3 days per week.
